A lovely morning for a walk along Cable Beach. It’s better to get up early and exercise in the warmer weather and high humidity. Otherwise it’s just too hot and there are real health risks. Harry and Ray took some time out to compare muscles they have gained from eating apples WITH the peel on them.
We spent the morning visiting a mango farm where they manufacture a variety of products using mangoes. We sampled chutneys, jams, wine and vinegars. We are all growing very fond of mangos and there is no end to the amount of things that mangos can be made into.
For lunch we stopped by the boutique brewery, Matso’s, and enjoyed lunch with a nice beer. I had the Chingo beer which was a blend of chilli beer and mango beer. It was sweetness with a real punch. Chris had a try of the pure chilli beer and nearly spluttered it back over the bar. It was very lip puckering.
We were all looking forward to taking a camel ride along Cable Beach so we collected our cameras and headed down to the beach. The whole experience was amazing and we got to learn all about camels from the guides. We watched the sunset and took some amazing photos. Tomorrow our adventure to Cape Leveque begins. I “Googled” some pictures and it looks breathtaking. Can’t wait.
Broome is seducing us all with its beauty and unique qualities. It’s quite a place to see and experience. A natural beauty of the Australian landscape.
