Well… it was nearly afternoon by the time I crawled out of bed. I had stayed up reading until the wee hours and so I took advantage of the fact that no-one had disturbed me, either on purpose or accidentally, and I continued sleeping the morning away. I’m not entirely sure if it was the late night reading or all of the wine and chocolate from our day out yesterday, but I was feeling decidedly lethargic. When I eventually surfaced, it was to a bevy of complaints about me being so lazy, but I noticed that no one else had had a shower or moved much at all. Typical!
We took a drive to Mandurah to grab some groceries and enjoyed the air conditioning of the shopping centre just like a lot of other people were. Caleb made himself at home in Big W settling in to watch the DVD that was playing in the TV section. There was no sound but it didn’t seem to bother him. This kid is so easy to please, if he continues on in this fashion we will have had a hand in raising the perfect male to let loose into the world!
We bought some BBQ essentials for our evening meal as we were having a goodbye dinner with our caravanning neighbours, Russell and Noelene. They are travelling further South tomorrow so we have all decided to have a BBQ to say farewell. We have really enjoyed sharing an evening beverage with them and Ray is now a bit partial to the “Clipper” beer that Russell drinks. We hope that our paths cross again further South. Caleb will be on the lookout for their car and van and he will let us know for sure if he sees it.
