Reading Bliss-Day 147

I had 825 pages of a book to read on my iPad. I was determined to read them all before I showered. And I did. Ray wanted to fish today but the tides weren’t good for fishing until after 3pm. That gave me the whole morning to read. I finished one book, picked up another that I had half started and before I knew it, it was lunchtime. Caleb had done his schoolwork on the other side of the table while I read. Having no electricity or phone reception means that he unknowingly spends longer engrossed in his work.
After lunch we drove to Rossiter Bay about 20km away and Ray went fishing. Caleb and I played cards in the car, I finished reading my book and started yet another. This is bliss! Ray caught 9 fish, threw 4 back and lunch for tomorrow is sorted.
After dinner, we continued to relax, another early night. We were in bed by 9:00pm. This place is really taking it out of us.

We have had 147 days of seeing amazing parts of our own country which has given us a new appreciation for the areas that we have travelled and made us excited for each new region that we consider travelling to. In addition to that, the travelling life has enabled us to completely slow down and have real conversations with each other and new people who we meet. Our days are filled with things we want to do, and things we have to do are often pushed back for another day or we find a way around them. Yes, we have worn bathers instead of underwear that needed washing! We know and appreciate how founate we are and don’t forget to mention it to ourselves on a regular basis. As well as “wondering what the poor people are doing” which is a tongue in cheek saying, we often stop and really look at each other and in quiet moments really count our blessings to be living this dream together.
