Sydney Air Is Thick With Anticipation!-Day 181

The drive to Sydney was busy. We noticed how for the first time since leaving Melbourne, the whole trip consisted of passing through one town then another. The wide open spaces were well and truly gone replaced by freeway with suburbs abutting each other all the way. That is the East Coast, such a contrast to the West.

We arrived just after lunch and as we are staying here for 10 days and hosting a visitor (all the way from Holland) we decided to put up the annexe. We set the timer so we could get a good idea of how long it actually takes and set to work. It was much easier this time because between the two of us we had some idea, remembering how to do it from the one other time it was put up in Lake Clifton (Perth). Even though the timing was interrupted by a phone call which necessitated in Ray sitting down while I cleaned out the car, we decided on an hour for total annexe erecting time. Not bad!

After a makeshift dinner (we are almost out of food again) I wondered why my throat was so sore. We concluded that it must be the pollution as we had really noticed the smell of cars since arriving in Sydney and the quietness which we had grown so accustomed to seems like a distant memory.
