Caleb had been pinning his great hopes on the fact that the Easter Bunny would find us and he was so happy when he woke up and found chocolate mini eggs everywhere throughout the caravan. After collecting them all he wasted no time digging right in and eating as many as he could before he needed something more substantial in his stomach to start the day.
I got my favourite Darrell Lea nougat egg that I have received every year since I was a Darrell Lea shop assistant at 14 years old, and Ray received his favourite Cherry Ripe chocolate egg.
Mine was totally eaten within 30 minutes (that’s the only way to really do it I reckon) and Ray’s was half gone in the same time. (In the afternoon he went looking for the other half of his and I patted my tummy and smiled sweetly).
We spent the day eating, reading, watching Caleb swim and relaxing. Ray was exhausted from speaking Dutch and needed to rest his brain and his jaw, and I was too laden down with chocolate to consider moving too much.
What a lovely relaxing Easter Sunday.
