Foolish Behaviour Starts The Day-Day 187

I knew I had to get Ray before he got me.

It was as simple as looking under his chair (while he was sitting in it) and exclaiming in my best actress voice, “Oh what a gorgeous looking bird, look at the beautiful colours”. Of course, Ray looked. I took much pleasure in calling him an April Fool. I was very wary for the remainder of the morning, on my guard just in case he decided on payback. He was brewing up his own joke to get my mum and dad and text them asking them if we could park our van at their house as we were quite tired from travelling and would be back in Melbourne on Friday. They believed him and when Ray rang to confess, they actually sounded a bit disappointed that it was an April Fools Joke and that he wasn’t serious. They either miss us or are very sick of minding our dogs! (I’ve never seen Ray laugh so much at one of his own jokes.)

We drove to Manly and just like Bondi, it was overcrowded and very expensive. Not really my cup of tea but there certainly were lots of beautiful bodies on show, both male and female. We decided to head to the Sydney Harbour National Park which is in North Sydney. The views of the city were fantastic and we stopped for lunch at a cafe. After lunch we explored the park a little more and stumbled across Collins Flat Beach. We were really surprised that it wasn’t inundated with people because we thought it was simply the best thing about Sydney so far. There was a couple of hundred metres of rocky stairs to negotiate before arriving on the sand so perhaps that deterred people. we spent some time exploring, enjoying the space of being on our own after being around so many other tourists since arriving in Sydney.

Caleb had been promised a playground today so we “googled” one and discovered that the best one in Manly was close by. When we got there the sign on the gate stated that the playground was “recommended for children 0-5 years old”. Oops! Caleb wasn’t very impressed, he had a quick swing and we headed home.
The Hawks vs Cats AFL game was on TV so we sat down to watch. It didn’t finish at all well and our Hawks loving fans went to bed very subdued.
