Organising The Day Away-Day 210

We couldn’t decide what to do today.

We didn’t feel up to going to a theme park.

We decided that a day “hanging” was in order and we would invest the time in organisation and cleaning and generally taking things easy. This loosely translated to me organising and cleaning while Ray and Caleb fluffed around making a bigger mess than they originally started with, losing interest, wandering off and leaving it for me to deal with. I was right when I noticed that the fishing gear that they intended to “sort out” was strewn on the grass in front of the camping chairs and they were both nowhere to be seen.

I returned to the inside of the van and the organising I was doing and
I packaged up some things to mail home, cleaned out a cupboard or two and ended up with a bag for the op shop. Quite productive I thought. The fishing gear hadn’t moved.

Making lunch, I heard the two of them returning (funny how food brings them back) with a tale about having to test out a piece of fishing gear at the beach. Right. Their story was interrupted by new neighbours pulling in and so was their organising and cleaning up their fishing gear!

We got talking to the people next door which killed a couple of hours and then after lunch we went to the post office and to drop off the bags at the op shop. In the afternoon Ray and Caleb went for a swim in the pool while I devoured a magazine.

The van was newly organised, I felt relaxed and ready for a good night in. Just need to avoid stepping on the fishing gear on my way to the amenities tonight!
