Playing Tourists in Mooloolaba-Day 219

After a big travelling day yesterday we decided to take it easy today.

We are on holiday after all. Mooloolaba is about 15 minutes from here and is a touristy beachside town. Ray and I have holidayed here together in the past and we were keen to see how much it had changed.
After a slow morning we headed there, parked and found the nearest coffee shop. We sat and basked in the sun like 10 day holidayers, watching all the people wander past. Not one person was in a hurry and the mood was very relaxed.

We decided to take a walk along the boardwalk to the yacht club. We remembered a fish supplier that was a couple of doors down from the club who cooked the fish for you. We recalled that It was sensational and wondered if it was still there. It was nearly lunchtime after all.
We found the fish shop and ordered lunch. It was as good as we remembered.

Walking back into Mooloolaba, we stopped for a play in the playground. We did the Titanic traditional pose at the front of the playground ship and then Caleb suggested that I was the Captain, Ray a deckhand and Caleb was going to be in the water and needed to be rescued. We played out the scenario but Caleb put a stop to the fun when I said that after being rescued he needed to be kissed on every inch of his head. Caleb’s hand actually went up in front of his face and he said, “I’m alive alright!” He clearly didn’t want to be kissed. I was slightly offended.

We stopped off for a bit of food shopping and spent the night researching our next caravan park.
I was ecstatic to learn that we are to have some more visitors when we are in Airlie Beach. My high school friends Karen and Linda are visiting us from Melbourne at “Chateau Siggy” for some memory making. It will be so wonderful to see them, I can hardly wait.
