Waiting With Anticipation-Days 251 & 252

Caleb missed the packing up this morning as he was, yet again, over the road with Rita and Dave enjoying their hospitality.

He even did a few jobs for them and scored a couple of dollars. Lucky boy!
We said goodbye, (Caleb really hoping to meet up with them again in Cairns), and drove the 50km to Airlie Beach township and to our new caravan park. This park is in a great location, perfect for our guests who arrive in a couple of days.
We spent the remainder of the day putting up the annexe so that we have more useable space while we are here and then spent some time getting to know our neighbours.
We were giving the washing machines a good workout, walking backwards and forwards to and from the laundry. Everyone around here wants to chat, except that it wasn’t Ray or Caleb caught up this time, it was me! Fortunately, the chores continued to be completed by Ray while I was “held up”. I considered continuing to talk while dinner needed preparing and seeing if that got done too, but that was hours away.
We spent a lot of time over these two days just just relaxing, catching up on lessons and doing a lot of reading. We have good Internet reception here so we took advantage of that and “googled” to our hearts content. It’s really an eye opener just how much our lives revolve around the internet and when you have a bit of loose time on your hands, even more so.
We set about preparations for our guests arrival from Melbourne. I can’t wait for some time with my friends (girl conversation) which I have been missing terribly. The beds are ready, chockies waiting on the pillow, even a freshly picked flower from the garden for each of them. (Thanks Ray- I wouldn’t have dared!)
Caleb and I made a welcome poster for them and we cleared all the benches of our junk to make the van appear bigger. I even gave the floors a good sweeping and mopping.
We are ready and waiting!
