‘Caleb Day’ Gets the Green Light-Day 264

Today was declared Caleb Day.

We have been questioned in the past as to why there is a Mothers Day, a Fathers Day but no Kids Day. Our explanation that EVERY day was kids’ day didn’t really cut it with Caleb so today we had ‘Caleb Day’. He got to choose all the activities that he wanted to do in the park and he didn’t have to do any schoolwork for the day. Boy was he excited.

We spent the day playing mini golf, at the playground, waterpark, pool and everything else that Caleb could think of to totally exhaust us. I let Ray do all the wet activities with him while I watched on from my chair with my book, yes, exhausting!
We were so exhausted that we had fish and chips for dinner as thinking about preparing a meal was much too taxing!

Caleb enjoyed himself no end, I think much of his enjoyment came from actually having the power to tell us what was happening throughout the day and not having ‘no’ as a rebuttal. We were looking forward to a restful sleep and finally seeing something of Cairns tomorrow.
