Caleb Builds With Bricks – Day 272

It is school holidays here in Queensland and the local shopping centre has been advertising a special Lego building tutorial for school kids.

Caleb was keen to be booked in so we headed to the shopping centre and he was lucky enough to fill the spot of someone who had cancelled at the last minute. Ray watched for an hour as he and 11 other kids built their own interpretations of a rainforest. Caleb was so proud of his invention and happily posed for numerous photos with it, even though they weren’t allowed to keep what they made, he still thoroughly enjoyed the experience.

While Ray was supervising him, I also got lucky, scoring a last minute appointment at the hairdresser. I was determined not to go to another one until we got home (!) but the grey that I never noticed that I had before, seems to be multiplying everyday. What made it worse was that Ray just doesn’t have a grey hair on his head at all!

Two hours later, I met them back at the Lego display where Caleb proudly showed me his creation and I showed off my new and improved hair colour.
Back at the van Caleb’s interest in his tub of Lego was renewed as he spent the afternoon in a haze of Lego inspired creation making.
