Hi-Karumba!-Day 292

Karumba greeted us with a warm sunny morning and with the caravan park full of relaxing holiday makers, it was a pleasant place to be for the day.

We wandered down to the shops to buy a few groceries (happy to report that this outback supermarket is much more reasonably priced and the trucks have to pass through Normanton to arrive here…hmmm) then back to spend the remainder of the day lounging around reading and enjoying the warmth.

While lying on the bed, I noticed some dirt on the ceiling so in the spirit of true laziness, I remained horizontal and commenced the housework with my toes! Ahh, caravan life is just so taxing at times!

Caleb probably did the most work if all of us today, borrowing our neighbours ant rid spray and happily spraying poison all over the wheels and anything touching the ground. The ants here are plentiful and will get into everything if you don’t take precautions.

Caleb and Ray watched our next door neighbour unload his catch of the day after returning from fishing and Caleb was absolutely gobsmacked at the size of the fish he caught. Of course, Ray tried to pass it off as his own, taking advantage of the opportunity too good to miss by snapping photos and texting them back home. I’m not sure that anyone believed that Ray had caught them after his dismal luck with fishing over the course of our travelling so far.
