Saying goodbye to everyone this morning left us flat!
We packed up the house (a major job in itself) then went across to the beach for one last throw of the vortex.
We have had a truly wonderful 5 days, unbelievably gone too quickly. It was great getting to know Kylie’s sister, Jade and her fiancé, Dave, and of course Ryder.
We all decided to do it again and perhaps make it a yearly occurrence. Hugs and kisses over, we waved goodbye knowing we would see Shane, Kylie and Ryder next month.
We headed for Babinda where we stopped for morning tea. We were just in time to see a sugar cane train pass through the town, literally down the middle of the street. It’s so strange to see a train just rolling through a main street.
The further we travelled, the cloudier it became. We realised that we really were on our way home, heading South, back the way we came. Our destination for today was Mission Beach, where the rain was.
We arrived, set up and sat under the awning watching the rain fall. Caleb and I mentioned returning to Cairns and the sun but Ray is determined to do a spot of fishing here. When we were here just on 8 weeks ago he didn’t have any luck but perhaps his luck has changed!
