Long Time no See Hervey-Day 341

We had a restful sleep and hit the road at 8:30am. It is amazing how much quicker our morning routine is without the convenience of electricity to slow us down. That is one of the good things about free camping in the middle of nowhere.

The roadworks along the way really impacted upon our travel time so it was another long day in the car. Queensland roads are by far in the worst condition of all the roads we have travelled on so we tried not to become frustrated by all the stopping due to roadworks because it is SO necessary.

We arrived in Hervey Bay (unbelievably 4 months after we left here) and checked into the same caravan park as previously. This time we decided to splash out and get an ensuite site (our own shower and toilet). Regular blog readers will know what this means to me.

We were shattered from the long day and look forward to a week here to soak up the rays. We both really love this town, its tranquility and friendly locals. Besides, we have to vote on the weekend and there is a remote vote polling booth here. A good enough reason to stop for a week, I think.
