Downtime In Darwin- Day 43

We dropped our car off for a service, might as well get on top of the maintenance while we wait for Chris to return. It had crossed our minds to move on to a new caravan park without him and play the ultimate trick on him, but the kids were adamantly against it. Not sure if it was leaving Chris or the swimming pools that bothered them the most.
We kept ourselves busy with various things today. We hit the pool early because we were sure a storm was predicted for the afternoon.
Ray went to the car auctions for a look see and then picked up the paper. The headlines were an eye opener. “Teacher Bashed In Classroom.” Hmmmm… The school in question is just around the corner from where we are staying.
We put the kids in front of a movie in our van and then we went to Vicki’s to watch the first Twilight movie. We have decided to watch them all again before we arrive in Broome, Western Australia which will be just after the release of the newest movie in the Twilight franchise. We are looking forward to a night out to see it. It was a pleasant hour or so with constant kid interruptions, but at least we got to refresh our memories.
After dinner, and after amusing ourselves by balancing a lettuce on our heads, we rushed the kids into bed and watched the second Twilight movie, New Moon. Ray wasn’t impressed with either movie and Aaron went to bed. It has to be mentioned that Hannah and Harry had nachos for dinner while Chris wasn’t in town. While the cat is away…
Tomorrow we will watch the third movie. We just can’t help ourselves. Tonight we dream of Edward.
