Our grandson Ryder is going well and now we have our official names, Opa and Oma!
We are in Perth and Christmas has come and gone. Had plenty of food and drink and Santa brought lots of things ( still haven’t caught a decent fish yet though, Santa). Chris and Vicki and Hannah and Harry leave tomorrow so we won’t see them again for quite a while. It has been a great journey with them and we have heaps of amazing stories to tell about our travels. We have been very lucky to spend time with my sister TINIE, a first having Christmas together. She has organized some things for us, a tour of the WACA cricket ground, carol service in the cathedral, kids service also in the cathedral, lunch at her work and drinks at her place, it’s just been amazing. We met up with my niece Amanda, her husband Geoff and her boys Travis and Luke. It really has been a special time for us here.
We took a trip to the shops in town on Boxing Day which was the day after Christmas, heaps of other people did too. It was crazy. This is traditionally the best shopping day in Australia with bargains galore.
We are heading to Lake Clifton down south of Mandurah on Sunday where we will stay for 3 weeks and wait out the holidaying hordes who will be on the road and who will be booking out the caravan parks if we were to continue travelling. We will meet up with Judy Goulding and Emma Harris ( Teachers from school who are making their way across from Melbourne) in mid January sometime, then head further South to Busselton.
Anyhow, enough writing from me (I was only ever going to write one of these if I caught a fish!!!!)
