Life is a Beach at Cottesloe -Day 94

I knew I was being a bit slack with the blog and I had received a few messages from home commenting on my “slackness”. When I finally updated it I noticed Ray’s previous update. He beat me to it and now that I know he can do it, I think it is a good idea to share the task in the future. (I’m not sure just how keen he will be to do it, especially since I insisted on correcting some of his grammar and spelling!)
Chris and Vicki left this morning. It was a sad goodbye and they feel like their holiday is nearly over because they will be home in 3 weeks or so. They will explore down South on their way. We got a bit teary, Harry having numerous last cuddles with Ray. It will certainly be different without them and I’ll miss my “girl” time with Vicki and my gorgeous niece Hannah.
We spent the day exploring Cottesloe Beach and the surrounding suburbs with Tinie after morning tea with Tinie’s daughter Amanda and her family, Jeff , Luke and Travis. We have really enjoyed their company in Perth.

Cottesloe Beach is a very well known beach in a suburb of Perth. It is a quite “well-to-do” suburb and considered a must-see on the list of places to visit. I have to admit, I wasn’t overly impressed with the beach in comparison with some of the beauties we have seen down the coast of Western Australia. If you want to see some truly magnificent beaches, venture up north along the coast. You’ll be forever glad you did. Check out our previous blog posts because this is the way that we travelled to Perth, down the West Australian coast.
We leave here tomorrow and move to Lake Clifton for 3 weeks. It is only about 100km South and we will use it as a base to explore the area from. Apparently most people in Western Australia head South for the holidays so we booked a spot to wait out the holiday makers knowing we would have trouble getting accommodation.
Really looking forward to my friends, Judy and Emma’s arrival. It will be good to have some more girl time.
