We decided last night to stay here another day. So we did.
Ray and I did 2 loads of washing, I swept and mopped the van floor – (now that doesn’t happen often), wiped the benches and then sat down. There I stayed – all day! I had my book from Christmas that I was struggling to find time (!) to start. It was absolute bliss to have our very first ‘sit around and do nothing but read and eat’ day. In the afternoon we moved poolside and continued our relaxation. It felt really good. This is what holidaying is all about!
Caleb has been introduced to his new chore, drying the dishes. He’s ok with it and actually very particular about making sure the dishes are dried properly. With Aaron leaving we will need a little reshuffle of the daily jobs which really means Caleb will have to do a bit more. He really is capable but tends to get away with doing less because there are 3 adults around him most of the time to do it for him.
Melbourne is calling and Aaron flies home in 5 days so we will head back to Perth tomorrow to safely deposit him at the airport and put him on the plane. He’s had enough travelling time with the old folks and it’s time for him to rejoin his friends. We are giving him a week before he wishes he was back on the open road with us again!
