Puppies and Perth -Day 127

A long and largely uneventful trip back to Perth was on the agenda today. We did pull into a farm on the way to buy a couple of dozen eggs. One of the farm dogs had just had a litter of puppies 2 days earlier and using his usual charm and persuasiveness, Caleb managed to have a hold of one. Once back in the car he was devising ways in which we could buy one and bring it with us.
We finally arrived back at the same caravan park we were in over Christmas with time to do a shop for food. We were almost out of everything.
It felt strange being back here without the rest of our travelling family. It’s been over 4 weeks since they left to travel further down the coast on their own.
Caleb caught up with some schoolwork and as it was egg night (Friday) it was omlettes all around. Aaron knows his time is coming to a close and commented this morning that he was sitting in the car on his very, very last daytime trip, travelling from one town to the next. Not sure if he was relieved or sad.
